Thus begins the beer

Ok folks. There has been some demand for my videos from my beer tour honeymoon. Let's start with my time in Salzburg Austria. Here I am reviewing Kaiser Marzen by Stern Brau. It was very interesting to taste, but was much more like a heavy Kolsch than a true Marzen. Regardless, it was fantastic and easy to drink (like all German lagers). The main shock I got in Germany was that the beer is world class, but boring. Brussels is the true epicenter of the beer world with wild, exotic flavors. Germany makes perfect, smooth lagers that have some of the best malt flavors I have ever tasted. However that is all they make. Belgium makes everything you can imagine and then some. Bars in Beligium have hundreds of beers. German beer halls have 3 (light, dark, wheat). So Belgium is like Netflix, while Germany is like your trusty home library of DVDs like Goodfellas and Caddyshack.
